In recent months, ESTON Asia Desk has participated in a number of professional events and business forums that have further strengthened the company’s network within the Chinese business and investment community. These discussions have focused on investments targeting Hungary and the wider Central European region, as well as on supporting the European expansion of Chinese companies.
As of 1 April 2026, ESTON has become a premium institutional member of ChinaCham Hungary. This membership opens up new opportunities to build relationships with the Chinese business community, investors and companies interested in Hungary, while also creating a stronger platform for professional dialogue and future cooperation.
In early June, ESTON was invited to a Hungary-based event organised by one of the world’s leading risk advisory firms, where we had the opportunity to engage with Asian companies that are already active participants in the local market.
ESTON Asia Desk also took part in a small-scale business meeting with the delegation of the Shanghai Qingpu Free Trade Zone, hosted with the support of Bank of China and held at its premises. The event provided an opportunity to establish direct professional dialogue with organisations and decision-makers actively supporting the international expansion of Chinese companies.

ESTON was also present at the Chinese-Hungarian Logistics Conference organised by Budapest Airport, where we had the opportunity to reconnect with existing partners, meet new market participants and further broaden our professional network.

In addition, Asia Desk participated in China Brand Fair, one of Europe’s most significant Chinese business exhibitions. The event provided an excellent platform for ESTON to establish direct contact with companies looking to expand their presence in Europe or enter new markets. Chinese language capabilities and cultural understanding proved to be a significant advantage during these meetings, enabling efficient communication and a more accurate understanding of clients’ business needs.
Through our cooperation partners, we have also been introduced to a growing number of new enquiries. In response, we aim to provide the most comprehensive support possible, tailored to each client’s specific requirements. A recent example was an industrial factory development-related site visit, where we were able to provide our partners with tangible market insight by presenting land options, developer capabilities and an overview of the local market environment.

Beyond professional meetings, cultural cooperation between China and Hungary remains an essential part of everyday relationship-building. ESTON therefore actively supports and participates in cultural initiatives as well, including the Dragon Boat Festival and events organised by the Hungarian-Chinese Friendship Association.

We were also pleased to accept an invitation from the Chinese Cultural Centre and visit its beautifully renovated building.

The professional activity of recent months clearly demonstrates that Chinese investor interest in Hungary remains strong. ESTON Asia Desk’s goal is to turn this interest into practical business opportunities and to support companies seeking to enter the Hungarian or wider Central European market.
